Our family came to this area and homesteaded in 1854. Each subsequent generation has continued to make their home here. I grew up on the family farm and began showing steers in 4-H. We moved off the farm in 1963 and I started a Yamaha Motorcycle dealership in 1973. Brooks Simmentals began as a hobby in 1986 and has continued to evolve into a full time business since 1998. In 2003 we joined forces with 5 other breeders (4 Simmental and 1 Angus) to form the Gold Bullion Group. We have a bull sale every March and a female sale every other year in October.
